TEDx – How Dogs Tell Us What We Need To Know

Veterinarian and Ph.D. veterinary behaviorist Barbara Sherman is the Director of Behavioral Medicine Service at North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

In this fascinating TEDx Talk, given at Sandhills Community College in 2017, Dr. Sherman shows you how to read your dog’s body language so you can both anticipate and alleviate their anxiety. She illustrates her talk both with photos and videos from her clinic so you can see how different dogs react to stressful situations, such as the approach of a stranger.

Dr. Sherman is the author of a book explaining her behavioral methods, called Decoding Your Dog.
